Sales Representative

Olson Power & Equipment of Rice Lake, Wisconsin is seeking a skilled and results-oriented Sales Professional to join our team. As a Sales Professional, with a commitment to excellence and providing unparalleled customer service, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering solutions through our extensive line of equipment.

This position will provide ongoing support and assistance to customers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional sales. The preferred candidate should have previous sales and customer service experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Job Summary Brief:  Sells new and used agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment to new and existing customers.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Represents the company for the sale of equipment to customers. 
  • Provide excellent customer service, address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Have thorough understanding of all Kubota and Land Pride equipment.
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
  • Must be willing to complete all stages of the 'sale' including: demonstration, proposing, delivery, receiving full payment, processing transactions accurately, and follow up after the sale. This includes safely hauling/trailering equipment.
  • Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
  • Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and excellent customer service.
  • Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly.
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
  • And other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 1-2 years agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as a Dealer Management Software (CDK), Microsoft Office and internet functions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.

Service Technician (Diesel and Small Engine)

Olson Power & Equipment of Rice Lake, Wisconsin is seeking skilled and results-oriented Service Technicians in both the Diesel and Small Engine to join our team. As a Service Technician with a commitment to excellence and providing unparalleled customer service, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering service and/or repair solutions for their equipment.

The Service Technician will be responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Based upon their level of expertise, the Service Technician may work under direct supervision. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends on occasion.

Job Summary Brief:  Setup, PDI, service and repair of agricultural equipment/outdoor power equipment.  

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Perform service tasks in a professional manner as assigned by the Service Writer.
  • Set up and PDI new equipment as per OEM requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and service equipment which may include but not inclusive to:
    • Inspection and preventative services (fluids, lubricants, safety items, batteries, brakes
    • Steering components, generators, starters, water and fuel pumps, etc.)
    • Perform engine and fuel system diagnostics and repairs, replacing items as necessary
    • Perform hydraulic and electrical system trouble shooting and repair
  • Maintain knowledge of changes in models of equipment sold and serviced by the company.
  • Ensures accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to proper work order segment.
  • Reports in complete detail as above regarding warranty situations completed.
  • Maintains current product knowledge of Kubota and competitive products.
  • Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Practice and enforce company safety policies at all times in support of the company-wide accident prevention program.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Assists with other duties that may be assigned.        

Job Requirements: 

  •  Appropriate technical degree (diesel or small engine), certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean DMV, CDL or ability to obtain one.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong computer and DMS skills a plus. 
  • Detail oriented, self-starter that is organized and personable with a strong work record, good communication skills, and a passion for working with people.
  • Must have own tools.

Service Writer/Advisor

Olson Power & Equipment of Rice Lake, Wisconsin is seeking skilled and results-oriented Service Writer/Advisor to join our team. As a Service Writer/Advisor with a commitment to excellence and providing unparalleled customer service, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering service solutions for their equipment.

Answers customer Inquiries about service work and distributes customer inquiries accordingly. Prepares work orders to ensure technicians have work in front of them and coordinates parts orders for the service department. Applicants should possess technical skills, excellent communication and organization skills, basic computer skills, and ability/desire to work as a member of a team. Some type of service experience preferred but absolutely necessary.

Experience working with agricultural parts is a plus.  This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends.

Job Summary Brief:  The Service Writer/Advisor is responsible identifying guest needs for repairs and service, writing work orders, scheduling appointments, working with service technicians, monitoring service progress, reviewing service reports and updating internal staff as necessary, updating guests on repair status, and processing customer transactions upon completion of their vehicle repairs. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
  • Opens and closes work orders (internal, customer, warranty).
  • Maintains service department filings and records and service library with current information (for example, files, bulletins, manuals, multi-media, ect.).
  • Updates customer profiles using equipment. Hours or other information from the customer work order.
  • Maintains service accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders.
  • Coordinate and order parts for the service department, work with the parts department to resolve issues including freight deliveries and inventory discrepancies. Coordinate and calculate the proper freight charges for parts orders to the shop.
  • Closely work with technicians to ensure proper parts are ordered for the service department. Pull and distribute parts for technicians. 
  • Print a list of all back-ordered parts and feedback as to expected ship dates or status updates.
  • Ensure the shop returned parts or cores are made available to Parts Department in a timely manner for accurate restock and or return.
  • Coordinate and process oil sampling program.
  • May participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Maintains knowledge of Kubota, Land Pride and competitive products.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements: 

  • Experience in Service Department operations and industry knowledge. 
  • Basic phone, data entry/keyboarding skills, and computer applications, (CDK software a plus).  
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak season, overtime and the occasional Saturday.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Parts Specialist/Counter Sales

Power & Equipment of Rice Lake, Wisconsin is seeking skilled and results-oriented Parts Specialists to join our team. As a Parts Specialist with a commitment to excellence and providing unparalleled customer service, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering part solutions for their equipment.

The Parts Specialist position will involve processing parts orders, warranty, credits, freight shipments, purchase orders and procuring outside parts. Applicant should be self-driven, have good organization and computer skills, and successfully help customers identify and fulfill their parts and accessory needs. Experience working with agricultural parts is a plus.  This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, work overtime and weekends.

Job Summary Brief:  The Parts Sales Specialist is responsible for assisting all customers and technicians in securing needed parts and supplies. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs, via phone, email, person to person in a friendly, professional, and positive manner. 
  • Presents a positive attitude and image of Company related to customer and fellow team member interaction.
  • Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required, and documents on work order.  
  • Verifies receiving and receipting-in of parts shipments.
  • Answers and directs incoming phone calls and inquiries promptly, thoroughly, courteously and accurately. 
  • Takes ownership of specific individual duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assists in keeping parts department clean, orderly, and well stocked.
  • Follows up on parts shortages and expedites issues.
  • Placing daily parts orders and weekly stock orders.  
  • Places stock ordered parts in assigned bin locations in a timely manner.
  • Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
  • Maintains current product knowledge of Kubota and competitive products.
  • Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
